Less Is More
A range of attractive contemporary products were incorporated into the design to develop the sleek modern look. Aluminium doors, large benches topped with resilient Caesarstone in ‘Osprey’ and a huge amount of storage in the form of doors and drawers have created a kitchen that is a true joy to be in.
Drawers have been fitted with Blum Tandembox soft-close technology, while the porcelain-tiled floor is well equipped to handle the room’s busy foot traffic. With abundant bench space and plenty of storage space, the clients can effortlessly ensure their kitchen remains mess-free.
Being in a brand new house meant the kitchen had to be at the cutting-edge of design while still providing a look that wouldn’t date. To achieve this, the kitchen has been fitted out with Miele appliances, doors and panels are thermolaminated matte Polytec in Barron Alder, and the kickboards are made from stainless steel. Square tube handles enhance the room’s polished look.
Instead of a conventional splashback, the area above the sink has been fitted with a window, which allows natural light into the space. A curtain can be drawn over this window for privacy or to block out the summer sun.
Adjoining benches of two different heights provide a great space for serving food when the clients have guests over, and the L-shape that the benches form is perfect for encouraging conversation, as guests can easily interact whether sitting or standing at either bench.
